The last hose you will ever buy : Craftsman Premium Heavy Duty Rubber Garden Hose
I have four of these hoses, all over 15 years old, all of which are just left out on the patio/grass in Southern California and used almost daily. One had the old "thin wall" male fitting, which became worn over time from dragging on the concrete, stepping on, etc. I returned the hose to Sears, and they substituted it, no questions asked (no receipt).Only downside is if you handle the hose portion a lot, your hands will get black. I also have several other brands of hoses, some with "Lifetime Warranties" which typically last 5-7 years before they burst and get returned. Commonly they are no longer made, so I end up with a new brand or separate model. My palpate is the true rubber hoses last the longest,(I also have a red rubber one) at least in Los Angeles (never freezes). Ps. I bought a red Colorite 3/4" yesterday (Lifetime little Warranty??????)and the fittings failed immediately. So sad for a hose made in the Usa. Gatorhyde hoses are also great, but pricy.
